Client’s Goal:

Union County faces several challenges, including a declining population, lack of childcare facilities, limited collaboration among stakeholders, and a need for a shared community vision. The UCCF aimed to address these issues to create a more vibrant, sustainable, and connected community.  Their goal was to use this research and co-created community vision for a grant that could radically change the trajectory of the community.  

Our Solution:

Stratavize Consulting Inc. partnered with the UCCF to conduct a comprehensive analysis and develop strategic initiatives aimed at revitalizing Union County. Our approach included a combination of data synthesis, community engagement, and targeted recommendations for various community projects including re-development for the library, revitalizing the downtown area, implementing a nature park, and providing affordable and accessible childcare within Union County. 

In partnership with UCCF, our process was to:
Conduct in-depth research of previous strategic plans, READI studies, comp plans, Gift VII reports, etc. 

Conduct a community survey to compare the data provided to the current community voices 

Facilitate visioning sessions to understand how community members perceived the situation

Develop in-depth findings report based on the research gathered to create an informed vision for the Union County Community 

Develop a unified community vision
